Next, in response to the marvel we experience in observing this world and to faith in our Creator, we care. This is represented in green, a combination of blue (marvel) and yellow (believe). This caring is not a burden, rather it is the free, joyful, loving response of our hearts to our Creator. Green also represents one of the basic purposes for which God placed us on this planet, namely to care for it.
Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care,
serving as overseers—not because you must, but
because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money,
but eager to serve. 1 Peter 5:2 (NIV)
The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden
to work it and take care of it. Genesis 2:15 (NIV)

We marvel in awe as we look to the sky above and waters below, represented in blue.

“The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it…” Psalm 24:1 (NIV)
Marveling, we become aware of a force of existence far greater than ourselves. This awareness leads to recognition of God our Creator and His Son Christ, the great Reconciler of all creation. We believe. Yellow represents light as an image of God, the source of all life, and an image of our faith in God.
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
Psalm 36:9 (NIV)
Christ said, "I have come into the world as a light,
so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." John 12:46 (NIV)
"For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his
light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of
the glory of God in the face of Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV)
