Next, in response to the marvel we experience in observing this world and to faith in our Creator, we care. This is represented in green, a combination of blue (marvel) and yellow (believe). This caring is not a burden, rather it is the free, joyful, loving response of our hearts to our Creator. Green also represents one of the basic purposes for which God placed us on this planet, namely to care for it.

Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care,

because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money,

Jennifer Bryson, Ph.D., is the founder of MarvelBelieveCare.org. She lives in Carlisle, PA and is a specialist in Arabic and Islamic studies. She is a big fan of God's creation and of caring for it. Illustrator Steve Artley has twice been named Best Editorial Cartoonist of the Year by the Minnesota Newspaper Association. He is known for his insightful cartoons in support of the environment and education and is a member in the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. His syndicated cartoons have appeared in newspapers and periodicals throughout the United States and Canada including the Washington Post and The New York Times. Steve now runs his own advertising and marketing consulting company based in the Washington DC area.
